Rush Limbaugh Soils the Institution of Marriage
I know that this is old news (June 11, 2004), but in light of yesterday's Senate vote against a constitutional ban on gay marriage, I thought that I would bring it up: Rush Limbaugh is getting divorced for the third time. Aside from this AP report, the announcement got almost no coverage in the major American media, which should enrage those of you out there concerned with defending the sanctity of marriage. I for one, am shocked and concerned about what homosexuals and Rush Limbaugh are doing to the social fibre of our beloved America.

Excellent. I've conducted an informal poll, and 'Gay Parents' ranked a distant sixth, behind 'Divorce,' 'Second Divorce,' 'Third Divorce,' 'Pre-emptive War,' and 'Parental Addiction to Painkillers,' to the question 'What do you feel undermines the institution of marriage most?' I think we have a strong congressional agenda ahead of us!
I was actually thinking more along the lines of a constitutional Amendment banning divorce. Or, since Limbaugh and his troops seem so bent on abstinence, I say we should ban marriage altogether and just cut this old tree down from its roots. Silly gay people, why would anyone want to get married anyway? Marriage is a prison.
Interesting thing to note, though: Since gay people can't get married in the US, it follows that no gay couple has ever been divorced. Now that is a strong record of committment!
Incidentally, it also means that gay people haven't lined the pockets of ambulance chasers such as John Edwards by initiating lots of golddigging law suits. As Randy Rhodes noted this morning, Marta waited the ten years to unhitch herself from El Rushbo. Personally, I hope she takes that bastard for all he's worth. I bet she'll be on the Howard Stern show in six months time, you just wait and see!
Marriage is a sacred institution (unless you're queer), and its protection is essential to the
continued strength of our society. We simply can't have those fags and dykes getting married and dirtying our sacred institution with their ass sex and dental dams. Besides, everyone knows that gay people just recruit little kids by molesting them and buying them puppies and candy. Marriage Protection Week provides an opportunity to focus our efforts on preserving the sanctity of marriage and on building strong and healthy marriages in America by making all those
Some people are born mediocre, some people achieve mediocrity, and some
people have mediocrity thrust upon them.
